Big Girl Bed

We are transitioning Madalyn into a "Big Girl Bed". Maddy thinks this is big girl, wait until she is in a full size bed that is what we plan on doing anyway. We will purchase a new bedroom suit for Madalyn, full size and then all of her furniture now will move over to the babies room. We are planning on doing that sooner rather than later. I just don't want the transition for her to be too late and for her to feel like her bed that she has only known was stolen right out from underneath her. So here is what her crib looks like in transition number one. It looks cute but moving her out of the crib makes her out of that baby stage.

This is Madalyn right after the "Big Girl Bed" was ready. She was excited but too busy cooking potatoes to take her apron off for the picture. She took her two hour nap in the "Big Girl Bed" this afternoon and did really well. I was a little worried that she would get out right away but she took her nap just like always and even when she got up she was standing and waiting right by her bed for Daddy to come get her. Now I'm a little worried about tomorrow because tonight she stayed with Nanny and PawPaw so fingers are crossed that all goes as well tomorrow night.
